Call for Scores 2021 “Homages” –  CANCELLED

Due to unforeseen circumstances, which led to a temporary halt in the concert-presenting operations of Kaleidoscope MusArt, Inc. following October 2021, the Call for Scores 2021 “Homages” has been cancelled

We are grateful to all applicants for their interest in this Call for Scores, and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. All applicants will be notified of this cancellation via email and will receive a full refund of their application fee.

CALL FOR SCORES 2021 - HOMAGES

Accepting works for solo piano, piano and electronics, or piano four hands.
Application Deadline: May 31, 2021 | Results Announcement: June 15, 2021.

This call invites composers of any age or nationality to submit works that pay tribute to anyone or anything of significance to them. Up to three works will be selected as winners.
The winning composition(s) will be performed by members of the Kaleidoscope MusArt team within the following two concert seasons of Kaleidoscope MusArt’s concert series.

 

Submission Requirements:

  • The submitted work must be scored for solo piano, piano and electronics, or piano four hands.
  • The duration of the submitted work must be of at least 7 minutes and must not exceed 25 minutes.

Application Guidelines

Composers must submit the following materials by May 31, 2021 via the online Application Form:

  1. A PDF score of the submitted work (required); if available, please include a non-expiring link to a recording of the composition (optional)
  2. Program Notes for the submitted composition
  3. An up-to-date CV of the Composer
  4. Composer’s list of works
  5. An Administrative Application Fee of $25

The works will be evaluated in two rounds. Finalists will be announced by June 12, 2021.
The final results will be announced on June 15, 2021.

The compositions will be evaluated by pianists Inesa Gegprifti, Redi Llupa, Akina Yura, Maria Sumareva, and Andrew Rosenblum;
and composers Ermir Bejo and Rodrigo Bussad.
